Over 100 years’ experience and close collaboration with our clients has enabled us to optimise and streamline our production process. The production of headgear is a delicate and complicated process, in which each step is essential. Through our cooperation with authorities such as the army, police forces, fire brigades and the Dutch royal house, we are accustomed to working with and meeting high quality standards. Our production line is divided into six categories:
A good production process begins with excellent material management. We take care to order the right materials (which normally need to meet specified requirements) and check these on receipt and before storage.
Once the materials have been checked and stored, we proceed with cutting the materials. For small orders, this operation occurs in Nijkerk, but large orders are sent to our foreign production facility.
After all the materials are cut to precisely the right size, the manufacturing begins. The necessary materials are manufactured while paying exceptional care and attention to the client’s wishes.
When it comes to assembly, it is essential that all of the prior steps have been performed correctly to ensure that all the materials fit together seamlessly. If you consider that, on average, a hat contains 26 components, all of which are made according to precise measurements, you’ll understand what a delicate process this is.
Lastly, comes the most important step in the production process: the final inspection. Hassing has been committed to quality since its founding in 1894, and to this day, all hats are manually inspected for size, appearance and durability.
Once all the products have passed the final inspection, the hats are carefully packaged and shipped.
